Allstar Tamales
An East Bay family owned company that rocks out the best tamales in town. After sampling them at our local farmer's market, we YELPED them. The reviews were amazing. So, we contacted Linda, the company's dedicated owner, and asked her if she would make her awesome tamales for our kids. The rest is history.
Bay Bread
A locally owned Bakery group that uses recipes from the French countryside and organic ingredients, Bay Bread brings a bit of France to the Bay Area. Known for their incomparable quality, they are bread makers to Whole foods and Trader Joes. Located one building away from Kid Chow's kitchen, Bay Bread literally walks its products over to Kid Chow daily. How's that for keeping it local!

Clover also is committed to maintaining the highest humane animal husbandry practices. The most exciting part of this news is that they'll be supplying Kid Chow fresh organic milk in compostable packaging!

Just Tomatoes, ETC!
Always in search of healthy but tasty food options, we began using Just Tomatoes, freeze dried fruits, as a creative and healthy topping to our yogurt parfaits. We loved their fruity flavor and that it was just fruit - No Salt, No Sulfur, No Fat, No Sweeteners, No Preservatives. Just Tomatoes, Etc.! dehydrated fruits and vegetables are vine-ripened (or tree-ripened), hand-picked at peak condition, washed, cut and then placed in specially designed dehydrators and dried at low temperatures to preserve color, flavor and nutrients. Kid Chow kids have been enjoying these fruity culinary treats, referred to as "fruit sprinkles" atop their organic yogurt. Later on, we added Just Veggies, a crunchy freeze dried veggie snack, to our pantry and now they too have a loyal following!
Mi Rancho Tortillas
A third generation family business started in the East Bay, the Berber family's Mi Rancho Brand is known for its authentic flavor and high quality ingredients. We use their products because they offer us all natural tortillas that taste homemade!
Mrs Mays All Naturals
Mrs. May's Naturals was founded a decade ago by two California siblings, Augustine and Michael Kim. The Kims grew up eating their grandmother's irresistible snack, which soon became a neighborhood favorite. Using their grandmother's recipe, the Kims launched the Mrs. May's snack line. We first sampled Mrs. Mays' sunflower crunch at a food show several years ago and knew we had stumbled upon something special. Mrs. May's commitment to make something good for your health that's also tasty and fun to eat was just perfect for Kid Chow's menu!
Peasant Pies
A favorite of our international communities, the origin of Peasant Pies can be traced to Sète, an old port city in the South of France. Small savory pies are a specialty of the region, purchased as snacks by local fishermen who appreciate their low cost and eat-anywhere appeal. Inspired by this regional favorite, Cordon Bleu-trained chef Gérard Buulong and partner Ali Keshavarz founded Peasant Pies, bringing the authentic flavors of Southern France to the Bay Area. Kid Chow began partnering with Peasant Pies after eating them for years at their local retail shop and noticed all of the "strollers" parked outside the shop. Their pies have been a menu staple ever since!
Spot, Rocco's, Patxi's, Red Boy, Stefano's, Skipolini's
Did someone say Pizza? At many of our school's we partner with local pizza places to prepare pizza for the sacred "Pizza Day." Chosen by the kids themselves, they are wonderful partners who use fresh, all natural ingredients to deliver tasty pizza to our kids.
Sukhi's
Sukhi is a wonderful success story and an even better food partner. Since 1992 she has been providing her authentic Indian meals to families and businesses. She graciously invited Kid Chow and seven hungry tasters into her kitchen feeding us the most delicious vittles until we could eat no more. Our tasters devoured the chicken tikka masala and that is how this yummy lunch earned its place on Kid Chow's menu. Kid Chow and Sukhi's share a common food vision, a commitment to purchasing local products and cooking foods in small artisanal batches. You can find Sukhi's products at Whole Foods, local farmer's markets and at Kid Chow
